I have a PR Card in canada since June'04. I have been here in the US for 8 years now. But because of retrogression stuff im not able to file I485.
Is anyone in a similiar situation or does anyone know how i can retain my PR card or will i lose it if i dont go back to canada in the next 1 year( as per rule of staying in canada for 2 years in every 5 years)

Today i received my EAD card, It says fingerprint not available. I have not yet received FP notice
Has this happened to anybody else, will i have to update EAD card after FP, how does this work

Has any one else experienced this? From the two posters above (which includes me) EAD and AP efiled applications went to National Benefits Center and generated the receipt numbers starting with MSC?
Please share your experience. Is there any thing to worry in this case?

Hello,This is my first time here.
I am graduated F-1 students and now working in my OPT period
OPT valid 4/1/2008-3/31/2009.
I am gonna send application for H-1b on 4/1/2009.
If H-1b approved in April or May 2009.
My Questions are:
Can i work and stay in US during 4/1/2009-5/31 ?
( what is my status,OPT expired on 3/31/2009,H-1B not approved)
Can i work and stay in US druing 6/1/2009-10/1/2009

Choose "An Indian citizen resident in the US" and it will let you choose any consulate you like.
If you are a resident in the US there are no issues in going to Chennai.

I remember reading if you travel outside the country while your AP is pending, it will be considered abandoned and you may not receive approval or any refund.

You are contradicting your statement - " H1 extension with CSC which was denied but I got a H1 approval notice", you say extension is denied but got approval notice. Approval for? Anyways, you have to ask the airlines to take the I-94, so that you can get a new one. Usually if you are going to Canada for less than 30 days they say that they will not take it. Either ask the airlines to take it or else when entering US explain ur situation to the IO and ask him to issue a new I-94. Hope this helps.

Guys,
This is question to july 485 files, has anyone from Austin, tx received FP appointment.
I filed on jul 25 ( NSC) got transferred to TSC and got receipts on 9/27
and EAD on 10/2, but no FP as yet.
Just wondering if FP did get lost...or am i in line..
Comments, suggestions ???

Am in a strange situation
I filed I-140 and I-485 together in Aug 2007. I got I-140 receipt waiting for I-485 receipt.
I-140 - Status - Pending
Can I work in UK or Canada for some time?
Kindly advice.

I have changed my employer after 180 days of my pending I-485. I have not communicated USCIS about this. I was able to renew my EAD, and AP online with proper documentation without any issues.
I am planning to travel to India on Advance Parole now. Wondering if I can show my former employer's documentation such as I-485, I-140 approvals if anything arises while going or returning. Do you anticipate any issues with this? or do I need to carry any information about current employer, and my Job?. Appreciate your help.

I'm looking for a web designer that could possibly help me redsign my website. I need him/her to be pretty familiar with Flash and animation.
Website will contain:
-photo gallery (photos provided)
-video clips (videos provided)
-community member profiles
-membership "join" form
-graphic effects
-guest book
-music/sound effects
-a lot of animation and graphic motion
The site will be formatted a little differently from normal sites, so be ready for a long explanation when you contact me. It's going to be a personal website and I have a fairly low budget. I need it to be $800 US or less. I'm fairly loose as far as a deadline is concerned. If you're interested, email me at stnkycheezman@hotmail.com. Hotmail has a tendency to block incoming email so you can also message me on AIM: stnkycheezman. If you'd like to take a look, my current website is OCFederation.com. i could not get answer for this question. for all ppl filed AOS between 2nd july and 17th august, will they process GC application based on PD or RD ?
Person A : PD august 2005 and I-485 filed on : 15 th july
Person B : PD august 2006 and I-485 filed on : 2 nd july
who will get GC first ? Person A or person B ?
