What do you mean by that. Is she going to file green card in future?She did not say that. May be she wants to go back to her native country once H1 expires.Am I right? H1 visa are given to stay here temporarily for 6 years not to get green cards.First husbands get green cardsm then spouses get green cards, then their parents and in-laws get green cards. This is why lot of primary H1 people are stuck in the line for past 8-9 years without promotions,salary hikes,buying homes. When there are no job for primary H1s, don't understand why spouses want to work.That's why lot of folks are going back to their native places.Competition wihtin out guys.Its like siblings fighting for same job in a single family.

It is not illegal to attend classes online if your school allows you the option. Again for best advise contact international center they are supposed to guide you to keep your status legal.

hi,
I've got my L1A visa valid till MARCH 2010 with company A. Meanwhile my H1B VISA got approved thru company B for this year.i would like to continue in my L1(company A) for few months until i find a suitable project with the employer who processed my H1(company B).
how long can I continue in my L1 status
a)if it is a fresh H1B ?
b)if the H1 is a "change of status"?
c)what can i do if i need to retain L1A VISA status for the period after the Change of Status happens ?
pls help.

I filed for my EAD last year along with 485 and the lawyer sent the application to Nebraska Service Center, however, the receipt notice I received was from Texas Service Center.

Now, for Q11 - Have you ever applied for EAD from USCIS? Which USCIS office, which office should I mention? NSC or TSC?

Hi everyone,

I have applied for my H1 in may this year and the receipt date was 31st may,the service center being Vermont.There was a query regarding my husband's paystubs in september and we sent it to them on september 19th.Many of my friends who applied H1 around the sametime as me got theirs approved in the first week of october..But mine is still pending.I wanted to know if any one is in a similar situation.

there is a little logic involved here. what if you changed the jobs between your AC21 and latest NOID. I think CIS just wants to make sure you are still hired by issuing a NOID even though they looked into AC21.

BTW I had the same situation and I had to respond to NOID with the same emp letter.
